    The Halcyon is a mythological icon known for creating an atmosphere of calmness. As the story goes, the Halcyon (specific birds looking like a Kingfisher) would land on the seas to nest during the darkest time of the year (the winters solstice). During a 15 day period the Halcyon would magically calm the seas while they nested on the water. These became know as "Halcyon Days" meaning a time of peace, tranquility or a carefree happy period. When someone wishes you "Halcyon Days" it is a wish for calming the rough seas in your life. I am confident that you will experience a some Halcyon magic here at Halcyon Landing.
